The dynamic between Yondu and Rocket was, to me, one of the more interesting aspects of the film, making Yondu's death all the more touching when Rocket, first talking of Yondu, ends up referring to the batteries he himself stole. Plus, the Mary Poppins line is just so great.
Gamora starts getting a bit annoying to me in the film, as does Drax, but the ending saves them both. The reason is Gamora's unnecessary coldness towards and Darx's lines sometimes move from funny to... not pleasant and not humorous.
Star-Lord's is as he was in the first film, so enjoy him, because we all know that he's going to screw the whole thing up in Infinity War.
And, the star, Baby Groot. He is just so cute, from his dance at the beginning to being passed around Guardian to Guardian, yawning as the others watch the funeral. Honestly, Baby Groot is enough of a reason for you to watch this.
While not necessary in preparing for Endgame, I do believe this should be watched for, unlike the other Avengers and superheroes, we are presented to this group in only two films, and it not only presents us to Mantis and Star-Lord's celestial side, but has Nebula further developed. So, if you are under time pressure in your rewatch journey, this is not necessarily a must see, but you'll have a good time if you do watch it.
