Thor - Or, the Introduction of LOKI (plus Hawkeye)

This is coming a few days after my watch but... not my fault (college!).
So, I'm a big Loki fan. He and Iron Man are tied for my favorites out of the whole MCU, so yes, I was in utter shook in Avengers: Infinity War when he was outright killed (though I cling to my hopes that he is still alive). In fact, I didn't get the point of Thor, feeling like Loki was the better of the two - Chris Hemsworth was was able to steal it back from Tom Hiddleston in Thor: Ragnarok, though, making me worry about Thor when Infinity War came around
But let's get back to the movie. Now, the first time I watched Thor was after the Avengers, my family and I wanting to find out just who was this guy, whose brother brought down destruction in New York. And it was an entertaining movie - not Iron Man level, but still, acceptable. Watching it now, in the MCU release date order, I wish I'd watched it before the Avengers, because of Loki in the first part of the movie. Yeah, he may kind of quiet and calm, but then you see his manipulative side, making you go back and realizing the quiet evil he really is.
While not at Thor: Ragnarok level of humor, Thor still has some good lines (the coffee part still gets me). Jane, on the other hand, I never really liked. That part where she goes "Oh. My. God." (or was it gods? who cares) when Thor is up fighting makes me cringe so bad; her delivery is horrible. And Natalie Portman isn't a bad actor, so what happened?
Now, this might make me sound either real nit-picky or less of a fan than I am, but the Casket of Ancient Winters - why so much blue? What I mean is, why did they make it look like a bigger tesseract with a case and engravings? I remember being confused younger, thinking these two were the same items. Frankly, I haven't rewatched Thor that much but still, I thought that for a good while before noticing they were two different objects. Maybe just a different shade of blue? I don't know; this just a little bug for me that I wanted to point out.
Also, poor Hawkeye. He barely does anything here. I remember wondering why they kept showing him if he wasn't going to go down and fight Thor my first few watches. Not as great an intro as Black Widow's, but I guess he got a foot in beforehand. Still, Avengers works fine as an introduction for him. I guess they didn't want to make a big deal of having another new superhero.
Don't get me wrong; I like Thor; the movie entertained me, and I've always loved mythology. Still, not the best MCU movie, by far. Thor's character wasn't where it is now, so the humor isn't as high as it will be. By the end, this felt more like a Loki introduction than a Thor intro, stealing the show from its star.
